This is only a pattern. You will need thread and and 8 1/5 x 11" piece of weavers cloth to complete this project. With a piece of freezer paper ironed on the back of the weavers cloth, you can scan the design and print the fabric, saving the tedium of tracing.  If you get a down loadable pattern, you can just print it on the fabric.  If you don't get the fabric wet while you are working on it, you won't have to worry about the design running. When you have finished pop the project in the washing machine and almost all of the ink disappears.  The loops bloom.

This Cat was stitched with Valdani #12 pearl cotton in M15 which is shades of gray.  The details are stitched with  DMC pearl cotton #8 in ecru and charcoal gray.  The ears with with two shades of pink floss and the nose is rust. On the instructions page I printed in color, a scan of the reverse of the finished cat so you could see how the stripes were stitched even though I drew them on the drawing that you trace or scan. Because this worked in variegated thread every time it is stitched, the cat will look different.
